Dr Zeinab Attarwala (Principal Dentist) 

Our Principal clinician Dr Zeinab Attarwala is dual-qualified from The University of Birmingham. Following eight years at University and completing two medical degrees, Zeinab was awarded the Susan Westwood memorial prize and Schottlander prize for her academic ability whilst studying. Zeinab after qualifying, worked in the community in 2009 whilst there, she was specialising in restorative and trauma cases particularly with children and Special medical needs patients.

Since then Zeinab has been working in general practice and has a devout patient base, with some families seeing her for over three generations. In 2017 Zeinab was shortlisted for a clinical excellence award in dentistry , for her services in dentistry, and was presented with her award at the British Medical Association in London.

In 2021 she was recognised globally and was awarded a Bupa global gratitude award from over 2000 nominations due to her commitment to her profession especially during COVID-19. Zeinab’s ambition to continue her professional development and provide excellent patient care has pushed her to complete 2 one year long courses leading to a certificate in Implantology and cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.

In the summer of 2022 Zeinab has moved from a corporate practice Birmingham and become the principal dentist at Winchester Avenue dental surgery.

Dr Fatema Maimoon (Associate Dentist)

I have been working as a general dentist, since graduating from Birmingham Dental hospital in 2011, a few years of which I specialised in community dentistry treating young nervous patients and special need adults. Currently I am undertaking further training in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and am already training in Invisalign. I am always learning and trying to put my knowledge into providing the best care for my patients. But most importantly I believe a calm manner can help calm even the most anxious patients, making dentistry more accessible to everyone.

Whatever treatment I provide I believe that empowering patients with knowledge on oral hygiene and diet and the most important, as prevention is better than cure.

Lauren Shepherd (Receptionist)

Lauren is an invaluable part of our dental team, serving as our front desk receptionist with a blend of professionalism and warmth that creates a welcoming atmosphere for every patient.

With exceptional attention to detail, Lauren expertly manages our patients, ensuring that the administrative side of the practice runs smoothly. Always approachable and patient-focused, Lauren is dedicated to making each patient feel comfortable from the moment they step into our practice, contributing greatly to our reputation for excellent care and service.
